A Supernatural Fangasm Thank You – and Giveaway!

Of course all fandoms feel like theirs is the best (that passion is what makes fandom so unique and wonderful) – but really, the SPN Family is amazing. We heard story after story at VegasCon about how Supernatural changed people’s lives for the better, and we count ourselves among them. We were so touched by everyone who told us that our books had also made a difference, and that you could relate to ‘Fangasm’. We’ve written a lot about the generosity of fandom. What other community is entirely based on a gift economy instead of financial gain? Fans spend so much time and effort creating fan works – taking beautiful photos, writing inspiring fanfiction, making powerful vids, drawing gorgeous fanart, posting con write-ups and thoughtful meta. And instead of expecting anything in return, fans just want to share all this awesome with their fellow fans. For free!

We’ve been honored to donate a copy of “Fangasm” to various charity auctions that fandom has run over the past six months (another manifestation of the generosity and passion of the SPN Family). We had a few more copies signed by Jared, Jensen and Misha at Vegas Con for an upcoming vampire ball to benefit Random Acts (of course there’s a vampire ball to benefit Random Acts…). And if you haven’t read “Fangasm: Supernatural Fangirls” yet, we’re giving away five copies on Goodreads. And we’ll autograph them for you too if you like —

Giveaway ends April 11, 2014.

See the giveaway details at Goodreads.

We also wanted to say thank you and share some of the beautiful gifts that fans have made for us because “Fangasm” spoke to them and validated them – and because fandom is all about sharing! Tedra (www.fineblankbooks.com) made us each a gorgeous hand-bound and inked hardback version of the book, in its very own warded handmade box (naturally). The dies of the Devil’s Trap and the Impala were custom made with hot foil stamping, the page marker is gray satin ribbon (because Dean likes satin), and the title font is Dymaxion Script (the font Chevrolet used for the 1967 Impala nameplate logo). Yes, folks, that’s the way we do things in SPN fandom!! We may have needed an extra box of tissues when we got these. Can you blame us??

We also wanted to share another awesome gift that a fellow fan gave us at VegasCon for what “Fangasm” meant to her. We may have sat up until the wee hours of the night in our hotel room playing with this one at Vegas Con. What? Like you wouldn’t! I mean, it’s Dean Winchester Paperdolls! And come on, it says “UNdress Doll Dean”. Who could resist that suggestion??

If you’re the super-creative person who gave us such a wonderful gift, please let us know! And thank you! ETA: Thank you to @romachebella – you rock!

Thank you guys! And thanks also to everyone who has left a review or a rating of “Fangasm” on amazon or goodreads – we can’t tell you how much that means to us. It’s the best way to get the word out about the book and our incredible fandom, so thank you thank you thank you!

Is everyone ready for Tuesday’s new episode??? Do I need to stock up on tissues??

that sounds awesome, and I’d love to participate, but it says that since I’m from the Netherlands, I can’t…

Wow. Wow! Yeah, well…I guess that’s how we roll here at the fandom. Yay us! And yay to your beauty book (wow. WOW!) and to the wonderful UnDress Dean paper doll. (Which is so twisted and silly and funny…how can you not love it? But laminate it first.)

Thanks for sharing. Love the pic of the boys, too.😉
