We know many of you, like us, are music fans as well as Supernatural fans. So while we wait patiently (ahem) for Wednesday’s new episode, we wanted to let you know about an exciting new fan convention just for music fans.

Our friends Sabrina and Stacey have created something unique – a weekend where music fans and musicians can spend some quality time together. Instead of a brief perfunctory meet-n-greet, Sabrina and Stacey wanted to create a con that reflected the very best of the SPN ones they’d been to, where fans could actually interact with the musicians. That’s how they came up with the idea for OvertureCon. Here’s how they describe it:

“Two days filled with unique, once in a lifetime experiences. Created by music überfans, it’s a new way to celebrate music. OvertureCon was created for people who love rock-n-roll and want to share their love with bands and with each other. Filled with daytime programming (music related panels with bands and special guests, relaxed meet-n-greet/photo ops lounge, VIP room with exclusive artist designed experiences along with live nighttime performances to get your rock on. OvertureCon is designed to give fans and bands the opportunity to have meaningful exchanges in an environment that is both intimate and powerful.”

Supernatural fangirls themselves, Sabrina and Stacey are veterans of Comic Con and Creation cons, so if anyone can pull this off, they can. The con is on May 18 and 19 at The Mint in LA. If this sounds up your alley, you can buy the various ticket options at http://tinyurl.com/cg58hfe
